Overview
Outtie is built for discreet safety moments. We only collect and process data needed to provide account access, trigger calls, and show call history in your dashboard.
Our approach is data minimization: if a data point is not needed for core functionality, support, billing, reliability, or legal obligations, we avoid storing it.
What we collect
We may store your account identifiers, phone configuration, selected scenario settings, trigger events, and call lifecycle metadata such as status and timing.
When available from providers, we may also store provider-specific reference IDs needed for debugging, fraud prevention, and support workflows.
If recordings are enabled by your configuration, related recording metadata can be stored to support playback and incident review.
How we use data
We use this information to authenticate your account, trigger requested calls, run subscriptions, and provide support when issues happen.
Operational logs are used to improve reliability, monitor abuse, and troubleshoot failed or delayed call flows.
We may use aggregated and de-identified analytics to understand product quality and performance trends.
Third-party processors
Outtie relies on infrastructure providers for authentication, telephony, voice services, billing, and hosting. Data may be processed by these providers as required to deliver core features.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments. We limit sharing to what is required to deliver the service.
No mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data, will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect account and operational data, including access controls and environment-based secret management.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to reduce risk and improve protections.
Retention
Operational records are retained only as long as needed for product reliability, billing integrity, and legal obligations.
Retention periods may differ by data type, incident status, and compliance requirements.
Your controls
You can manage account-related information through your authentication provider profile and product settings where available.
For deletion or access requests, contact us and we will process the request according to applicable law.
Children's privacy
Outtie can be used by individuals under the age of 18 for their personal safety. We never sell, share, or disclose the personal details of any users, including minors, to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
